Settled Bets

This one comes in two halves, before and after a Thursday night game, so you can see a hedge go from open to settled. Whichever way the game went we were going to profit; the result only decided how much. Then I check the settled numbers against the bankroll page so you can see everything reconcile.

Thursday: before the game

Thursday, before the game: two open hedges. The outcomes on top are the ones to root for.

I have used both 50% profit boosts, at FanDuel and DraftKings, on Thursday Night Football. Tonight I am rooting for the Falcons to win and for Jordan Love to throw under 1.5 passing touchdowns, because those are the two most profitable outcomes for me. The Falcons winning is $5 more than the Packers winning, and Love under is $10 more than over.

Friday: after the game

Friday: the hedges are settled. Net profit $9 and $10.

It is now Friday. The hedges are settled instead of open, which means the games have happened, you have been paid out, and you can go through and make sure all the numbers work the way they should.

Expanded: the winning and losing leg of each set.

The Falcons won, which is good. That got us an extra $5 of profit compared to the Packers winning. But Jordan Love threw over 1.5 touchdowns; he snuck a second one in toward the end. So we won $10 there instead of $20.

The bigger point: no matter which of these happened, we were going to win either way. The result only decided how much. In total we won $10 plus $9, so $19 of profit on that game.

Check the bankroll

The Sportsbooks page: the bankroll is $19 higher than the day before.

Pop over to Sportsbooks and the bankroll is now $19 higher than it was the day before. There are still open bets on the weekend, but in total, on day one, after signing up for two sportsbooks and betting on one NFL game using the bonuses they gave you, this demo account is up $19. And that is just day one.
